Calling All Singers!
Carmina Burana by Carl Off
Oundle International Festival is delighted to announce its fourth programme of workshops for singers of all ages and voices. We are delighted that James Lloyd Thomas will be leading the Choir through rehearsals and Concert, maintaining our reputation of offering a high level of vocal coaching and fun!
This year we have chosen Carl Off’s Carmina Burana as our principal work, which will be performed in the Festival’s grand Gala concert on Friday 11 July. You will be singing alongside a wonderful line-up of soloists, accompanied by full percussion section and two talented pianists, David Goode, organist of Eton College and Oundle School’s head of keyboard, Alec Hone.
Rehearsal 1: Sunday 8 June, 15:00 – 18.30
Rehearsal 2: Sunday 22 June, 15:00 – 18.30
Rehearsal 3: Sunday 6 July, 15:00 – 18.30
Refresher Rehearsal: To be held in the day of the concert, this session is an opportunity to polish up voices and notes in readiness for the performance. We encourage everyone to attend this session if at all possible. Time to TBC.
Concert (first weekend of Oundle International Festival): Friday 11 July
Alison Balsom and David Goode will perform the first half of the concert and of course, all participants of the Festival Chorus will be given a seat for this section, what an added bonus to taking part!
