Pedalling from venue to venue with all of their set, props and costumes on the back of their bikes, the HandleBards are a fourstrong troupe of actors who are spending the summer bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the UK.
Following last year’s rip-roaring, high energy performance from the Boys’ Troupe, this year we are delighted to welcome The Handlebards’ Girls’ Troupe for a bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare’s classic. Forget the tears and tragedy - this is a frantic, delirious, full-ofbeans show like you’ve never seen before. This year, the performance will be in the natural amphitheatre next to the Lyveden’s Jacobean Manor House which has been transformed into a new visitor centre.
This is an outdoor production, so please bring a chair or blanket to sit on, a picnic to dig into, and dress for the weather! We perform whatever the weather: a performance will only be cancelled on Health & Safety grounds, judgement of which lies with the event management team on the day.
Performance ends at approximately 8.30pm
