Following last festival’s outstanding event, we are delighted to return to Boughton House for a second, glittering black tie event, hosted by the Duke of Buccleuch.
The gardens of Boughton House will be open from 5pm. From 5.30pm there will be a Champagne Reception with substantial canapés and an opportunity to preview the summer exhibition which focuses on architectural sustainability and the environment, developed for Boughton by the international firm of architects, Grimshaw Global. You can then meander through the ground floor reception rooms before taking your seats in the Great Hall for a recital at 7pm by world-renowned pianist, Melvyn Tan, who will play virtuoso works by Beethoven, Schumann and Chopin on Boughton’s historic Blüthner grand piano.
Melvyn Tan’s international career has seen him perform at many of the world’s leading concert halls, from the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and Vienna Konzerthaus to London’s Wigmore and Royal Festival Halls and New York’s Lincoln Center. You will feel like a treasured guest in the magnificent surroundings of Boughton House with an unique opportunity to hear one of the world’s truly great pianists.
