This year we are proud to give star billing to Toploader supported by the Peterborough based breakthrough band Austin Gold. Other support bands, including popular local band Desperate Measures, will feature from 5pm.
Since exploding onto the scene shortly after forming in 1997, the multi-time Brit Award nominated band, Toploader, have over two million album sales and a string of top 20 hits to their name . Right from their debut hit single ‘Achilles Heel’ to tracks like ‘Dancing In the Moonlight’, 'Some Kind of Wonderful', and the more recent 'Roll with the Punches', Toploader have never failed to please the crowd. They have backed the likes of Robbie Williams, Tom Jones and Bon Jovi in venues around the world and have performed at a host of festivals, including Chris Evans's CarFest, Glastonbury and V-Fest. Check out their website for more!
One of a growing new generation of blues rockers, Austin Gold draw upon a vast array of legendary musical influences including Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters, Gary Moore and Led Zepplin, as well as the song writing of David Bowie, Gerry Rafferty and The Eagles. With vibes fleeting from southern rock and solid grooves, to blissful Pink Floyd style anthems, their music's bedrock for giant guitar solos is in place. Playing their own material as well as covers of some of the greatest ballads, this fantastic five piece band will have Oundle rocking into the night.
